Chapter 103: Fainting At The Sight Of Blood
When Lu Xian came to visit, he found Xie Wei already sitting by the window, gazing outside.
The sky was darkening, and the room was lit by lamps.
Lu Xian walked in unprepared, ready to speak to Xie Wei, but his eyes caught sight of the blood-stained floor, illuminated eerily by the flickering light. On the tea table lay a corpse with eyes wide open in death!
Lu Xian’s face turned pale, his body swayed, and his head spun. He quickly backed out of the room, clutching the doorframe to avoid vomiting.
“Damn it, how did Gongyi Cheng die?!”
With such a serious matter at hand, Jian Shu and Dao Qin were inside cleaning up.
Xie Wei, still with blood on his hands, glanced at Lu Xian and said, “I killed him.”
Lu Xian’s scalp tingled with shock. “Weren’t you just inviting him over for a talk? Why did you kill him?!”
Xie Wei replied, “Because he was going to cause trouble.”
Lu Xian was distraught. “Are you crazy?!”
Xie Wei looked down at his blood-stained fingers, smelling the metallic scent in the air, and said with a hint of disgust, “I never intended to let him leave alive. We disagreed, so I killed him.”
Hearing this, Lu Xian finally calmed down a bit. “Do you have a plan?”
Xie Wei said, “No.”
Lu Xian took a deep breath, trying to control his emotions but still not turning back to look. “You’re part of the Heavenly Sect. You invited him here. He’s still in the capital. How will you escape responsibility? How will you explain this to the sect? What will you do next?!”
Xie Wei remained calm. “I don’t know.”
“Don’t know?!!” Lu Xian jumped up, his usually refined face twisted with horror and frustration as he shouted, “No plan, no explanation! And you killed him! Are you out of your mind or am I?! What now? What now!!! How could you do this?!”
His voice was gratingly loud.
Xie Wei finally frowned slightly and said, “Why are you panicking?”
Why panic?!
Who wouldn’t panic in this situation?!
To Lu Xian, Xie Wei was never impulsive and should never have done something like this. Years of careful planning in the capital could be ruined!
Lu Xian couldn’t calm down!
He turned to argue with Xie Wei but caught sight of the blood on his white robe and felt dizzy again. His frustration turned towards Jian Shu and Dao Qin inside.
He shouted angrily, “Stop cleaning up and get your master changed into clean clothes first!”
Jian Shu was puzzled. “Why?”
Lu Xian raised a hand to shield his face from the scene inside and yelled in exasperation, “Why?! Because I faint at the sight of blood!”
Dao Qin: “…”
Jian Shu: “…”
